Everything you might ask.
Who can play, how to pay, what happens on draw night, and how winners get paid — explained in plain English.
Who can play
Who is allowed to play?
Adults 18 and over who are physically located in Ontario when they make the purchase.
Can I buy a ticket from outside Ontario?
No. Under our AGCO raffle licence (RAF1546240, valid May 26, 2026 — Nov. 18, 2026), tickets can only be sold to buyers who are physically in the province.
Are club staff and volunteers eligible?
Yes — except for members of the executive who are directly involved in conducting the draw.
Buying tickets
How do I get my ticket numbers?
Your numbers are generated as soon as payment goes through. They appear on the confirmation screen and again in your emailed receipt.
Are tickets refundable?
All sales are final once your order is confirmed. The only exception is a cancelled draw, in which case every ticket holder is refunded automatically.
Is it safe to pay online?
Yes. Payments are handled by a PCI-compliant processor, and we never see or store your full card number.
What does a ticket cost?
Single entries start at $5. Bundles bring the per-ticket price down to as little as $2 in the largest pack, and the complete price list appears at checkout before you pay.
Can I buy a ticket for someone else?
You can pay with your own card, but each ticket is registered to one name, email, and phone number — and the prize can only be paid to that registered holder.
Draw day
Where and when do draws happen?
At the club facility (1540 Lottie Neely Park Rd, Sarnia), at the time listed on the Draw Schedule. The Rules page sets out the exact draw method.
How is the winner picked?
A random number generator approved under our AGCO licence selects one ticket from all the entries sold for that draw.
What happens if a draw is rescheduled?
We post the new date on this site and email everyone who already holds a ticket. Your existing tickets remain valid.
Does anyone independent watch the draw?
Yes. A neutral observer from outside the club executive witnesses every draw, and their attestation is filed with our AGCO licence record.
Prizes & payouts
How do I claim a prize?
We contact the winner directly using the email and phone number on file. Before payout, you’ll be asked to confirm your identity and ticket number.
How long does payment take?
Prizes are sent by e-transfer or cheque within seven business days of verification being completed.
What happens to unclaimed prizes?
They’re held in trust and handled according to AGCO rules. The Rules page has the full details.
Will my name be published if I win?
Not without your written consent. The AGCO requires us to publicly confirm that a winner has been paid, but we never release your full name or photo without permission.
Are raffle winnings taxable?
In Canada, lottery and raffle winnings aren’t treated as taxable income. If you have questions about your own circumstances, check with an accountant.
Giving back
Where does the money raised actually go?
Half of every ticket supports Bluewater Gymnastics Club Sarnia, paying for coaching staff, equipment upgrades, competition travel, and access subsidies.
Can I support the club without buying a ticket?
Of course. Email support@queen-lotto.com and we’ll send you a link to the club’s direct-donation page.
Still have a question?
